CLEVELAND, Ohio— July 29, 2015 —Bud Industries, a leading manufacturer of electronic enclosures, has introduced the PTQ Series enclosure, an IP67 and UL NEMA 4 and NEMA 6 rated box with a latching lid. Unlike some other molded plastic enclosures, the PTQ Series is made of polycarbonate plastic infused with 10 percent fiberglass to give it exceptional strength, impact resistance and tight tolerances. A video at www.budind.com/ptq-video shows a PTQ enclosure being driven over by a car in order to demonstrate its superior strength.
This NEMA rated enclosure protects electrical and electronic designs in many applications including on the factory floor where equipment washdowns are common, outdoors in dusty and corrosive environments, and even where there is a risk of temporary submersion. The enclosure is well suited for housing machine controls, WIFI and radio equipment, lighting, and access controls.
The new enclosure is available in 10 sizes ranging from 5.91 inches. x 5.91 inches. x 3.34 inches. to 24.8 inches. x 20.87 inches. x 10.04 inches and features a hinged latching lid or a clear polycarbonate lid. The optional clear lid allows inspection without opening the box and indication without adding cutouts. Included stainless steel latches and continuous gasket ensure reliable performance.
Enclosure modifications are readily available from the factory. Only Bud offers 5-day turnaround on simple modifications such as holes and cutouts.
