Self-powered EEPROMS include security features

The AT21CS01/11 single-wire 1 Kbit (128 x 8) EEPROMs are powered from their I2 C data input and have only a single data pin and a ground pin. They feature a 64-bit factory serial number and write endurance more than 1 M cycles.

The devices have ultra-low standby current of 0.70 µA, and use only 200 µA for write current and 80 µA for read at 25°C. The CS01 version operates from a 1.7 to 3.6 V supply; the CS11 from a 2.7 to 4.5 V. They have an ESD rating that is IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 compliant. The ICs 256-bit security register includes 16-bytes that are user-programmable and permanently lockable. The chips come in SOT23-3, SOI-8, and WLCSP-4 packages. Pricing starts at $0.32 ea/5,000.
