The QSW dc/dc converter offers a 9 to 36-Vdc input range with an isolated, precisely regulated 12-V output. It achieves efficiency of 93% through the use of high efficiency synchronous rectification, advanced electronic circuitry, packaging and thermal design.
The dc/dc converter operates at a fixed frequency of 275kHz and follows conservative component derating guidelines. The 2.39 x 1.54 x 0.50-in. quarter brick package features an input to output isolation of 2,250 Vdc. The output voltage setpoint accuracy is ±1%. Output noise is 120-mV peak to peak. The converter operates from a no load condition up to the maximum 12-A output current. Line and load regulation are 0.2%. It provids over voltage protection, input reverse polarity protection, thermal overload protection and short circuit protection. The case operating temperature range of the QSW is –40º to +100ºC.
