Cortex-A5 based CPUs have wealth of features

The SAMA5D24 and SAMA5D28 low power Cortex-A5 based MPUs support DDR2/DDR3 external memory with advanced security features and a complete audio sub-system with a class D amplifier and digital microphone support. Security features include ARM TrustZone, secure boot, hardware cryptography, RSA/ECC, encryption/decryption of DDR and QSPI external memories, tamper resistance, memory scrambling, temperature voltage and frequency monitoring, and a unique ID in each device. The ICs have Payments Card Industry (PCI) level security.

The chips include a 24-bit TFT LCD controller with four overlays, an image sensor controller supporting up to 5 M-pixel sensors with a parallel 12-bit interface, a CAN port, a 10/100 Ethernet MAC, and a USB HSIC (High-Speed Inter-Chip) interface. They work over -40 to 105°C and come in 8 x 8 mm BGA256 or 14 x 14 mm BGA289 packages. From $4.95 ea./1,000.
