Using V-NAND technology and equipped with an NVMe interface, the 950 PRO SSD is said to outperform SATA SSDs by over 4.5 times in sequential reads and by over 2.5 times in sequential writes, with speeds of 2,500 Mbytes/s and 1,500 Mbytes/s respectively. Intended for client computers, the drives come in 256 and 512 Gbyte versions.
The PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe 1.1 drives take 5.1 or 5.7 W on average, and just 2 mW in standby. They have an M.2 form factor (80.15 x 22.15 x 2.38 mm) and feature AES 256-bit data encryption. Random read speed is up to 300,000 IOPS, random write, up to 110,000. Available now.
