The BTLC1000 Bluetooth Smart SoC is said to have the lowest power requirement of any such device, taking less than 4 mA in RX and less than 3 mA in TX at 3.6 V at 0 dbm. It has 1.1 μA sleep current. The IC includes a Cortex-M0 MCU, a 2.4 GHz transceiver and modem, a MAC, a PA, a TR switch, 128 Kbytes of RAM, a dc-dc converter, and a power management unit.
The SoC is available in 2.2 X 2.1 mm WLCSP or 4 x 4 mm QFN32 packages and has a qualified Bluetooth Smart protocol stack stored in ROM. It has AES-128/SHA-256 security acceleration, a quad PWM, a three-axis quadrature decoder, a 11-bit SAR A/D converter, and SPI/I2 C interfaces. Available now.
