The IQS572-B000 projected capacitive touch and proximity trackpad/touchscreen controller IC family features excellent sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio, along with automatic tuning of electrodes. The IQS550 (15 x10), IQS572 (9 x 8), and IQS525 (6 x 4) offer scan rates up to 220 Hz with resolutions of 3584 x 2304, 2048 x 1792, or 1280 x 768.
The ICs use a I2 C interface, handle multi-touch support up to five fingers, and include a voltage regulator and reference capacitor. The family operates over -40° to 85°C from 1.65 to 3.6 V and takes 40 uA while scanning in low power mode, with less than 1 uA in hibernation mode. From $0.90 ea/1,000.
