Aurora, IL– Equipto Electronics is pleased to announce that it has received 8(a) certification (also known as DBE Certification) from the Small Business Administration. This supersedes the company’s previous self-certification, making it a more attractive vendor to government agencies.
The SBA’s 8(a) business development program is designed to provide a broad range of assistance to small businesses, such as Equipto Electronics, to compete with much larger corporations. Equipto is now eligible to receive sole-source contracts, up to $4 million for goods and services and $6.5 million for manufacturing. The company is also able to form joint ventures and teams to bid on contracts, enhancing its ability to be competitive on larger prime contracts.
In addition, Equipto can enhance staff skills with specialized business training, counseling, marketing assistance and high-level executive development provided by the SBA and its resource partners.
