Give your router some style by designing your own router shell that’s unique to your home

Don’t like the way your bulky, boring Internet router looks? Add some personality to your home by giving that plain-looking device some style.

OnHub, a router from Google that provides Wi-Fi, has partnered with TP-LINK to create a set of three interchangeable shells to allow router customization in your home.

To bring awareness to their new shells, OnHub recruited designers and artists to create their own interchangeable shells. Called OnHub Makers, the project was just released on December 8th .

Google is also planning to release three limited edition OnHub shells: Bamboo, black and silver, and white and gold.

Created to help routers blend into different users’ homes, OnHub’s idea behind the project was that we’d no longer have to hide our routers, which can weaken the Wi-Fi signals.

Currently the router shells are priced between $29 and $39, and are available for purchase on the Google Store.
