Supporting fully-differential analog inputs while simultaneously achieving both speed and excellent DC/AC performance, Texas Instruments’ ADS8354 is one of three products belonging to a family of pin-compatible, dual, high-speed, simultaneous-sampling, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).
With a speed of 16-bits and 700 kSPS, AC performance at 93-dB SNR, –100-dB THD, and DC performance at 16-Bit NMC DNL, ±2.5-LSB Max INL, ADS8354 is well suited for applications involving permanent magnet motor control, industry-specific CNC drives, servo drives, general purpose industrial brushed DC drives, and in the axis motor drives of manufacturing robotics.
ADS8354 provides two individually programmable 2.5-V reference sources that can be used for system-level gain calibration, as well as a flexible serial interface that operates across a wide power-supply range, permitting communication with a wide variety of host controllers. The device also supports two low-power modes which may be used to optimize power consumption for a given throughput.
