8-bit MCU has precision analog functions

The EFM8LB1 Laser Bee 8-bit microcontroller targets optical transceiver module control with a pipelined 72-MHz 8051 core, up to 64 Kbytes of flash and 4,352 bytes of RAM. It comes in small QFN24 (3 x 3 mm) and QFN32 packages.

The IC has a 14/12/10-bit A/D converter with up to 20 inputs, four 12-bit D/A converters, two comparators, an accurate temperature sensor, and a 6-channel programmable counter array. The chip also has four configurable logic units, a flexible peripheral crossbar, and on-chip debugging features. Supply voltage is 2.2 to 3.6 V. Supply current, at 24.5 MHz, is only 5 mA.
