Trend watch: the all in one gaming PC

Manufactures look to provide the growing gamer audience with an all-in-one solution

With CES 2016 having just recently ended, we were presented with an array of products that may not have been expected, but certainly could end up being popular. The usual devices such as giant UHD TV’s and home security cameras are par for the course, but 34-inch all-in-one gaming rigs may not be. Origin PC, Maingear, and Velocity Micro all debuted new products at CES and here’s what we can expect from each.

Origin all in one tv
Origin PC’s new Omni is a 34-inch 3440×1440, curved screen behemoth, equipped with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The standard tech specs that would be in a desktop tower are located behind the display, leaving plenty of room for components.

Back of Omni origin
The Omni has an Intel Core i7 5960X or Intel Xeon E5 2699 v3, FROSTBYTE liquid cooling, NVIDIA Gforce TITAN (16GB), dual HDDs or SSDs, up to 32GB DDR4 RAM. Origin has yet to announce pricing or availability however.

Maingear’s new gaming weapon, deemed the Alpha 34, has a curved HD display for viewing pleasure. The Aplha 34 also comes equipped with the Intel Core i7 or XEON processors, two NVIDIA TITAN GTX X video cards, and liquid cooling.

Alpha 34
Like the Origin Omni, there are two bays for the HDDs or SSDs of your choice with up to 16GB RAM, as well as a Blu-ray optical drive solution. The Alpha 34 starts at $1999 and can be pre-ordered with an expected February ship date.

Raptor One
Velocity Micro’s similar Raptor One is a 34-inch gaming machine that shares the same curved display and chassis as the Omni and Alpha 34. The processor, GPU, memory, and hard drive options are the same as well. Priced at $2199, the Raptor One is available for order beginning February 1.

All three options give you the ability to play the latest games at full settings in a compact package.
