The InnoSwitch-CE off-line CV/CC flyback switcher ICs are optimized for consumer electronics applications where government regulations for Total Energy Consumption (TEC) must be met. The ICs use a magneto-inductive coupling technique called FluxLink to enable precise switching control of primary and secondary MOSFETs. It provides synchronous rectification without the risk of shoot-through during transient loads or line surges. The technique also features cross-regulation performance that helps eliminate dc/dc converter stages in multi-output designs.
Six devices are available, delivering between 12 and 25 W of output power for USB Type-C chargers and consumer electronics such as open-frame power supplies for set-top boxes, computer monitors and other consumer audio-visual and entertainment products. They consume less than 10 mW no-load. The devices include an on-chip 650-V MOSFET with OV/UV monitoring.
