Synapse Wireless, Plexus demo SNAP Platform for Things

Development platform targets industrial wireless monitoring

Synapse Wireless, an Internet of Things company based in Huntsville, Ala., demonstrated its Platform for Things, called SNAP, at Sensors Expo 2016, working with customer Plexus Controls, a Canadian designer and manufacturer of industrial wireless monitoring and control products.

Leveraging SNAP’s development platform enables Plexus to offer smart technologies to the commercial and industrial markets. Their solutions provide industries faced with more stringent environmental requirements to have affordable and reliable tools to conduct the necessary monitoring and management of their local and remote sites for regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

“Developing our monitoring solutions using SNAP as a foundation has provided our customers the ability to keep costs down by integrating wireless control seamlessly into their existing infrastructure and provide them with real-time data which helps to eliminate unexpected system failures,” said Bill Cuming, President and CEO of Plexus Controls.

Synapse is offering an introductory price on its recently released evaluation kit, the EK2100-220, for the SNAP development platform. The kit provides a simple demonstration on how wireless connectivity can be incorporated into just about any type of application.
