Stackpole’s CSS and CSSH current-sense chip resistors offer 15-ppm TCR

Accurately measuring current is becoming more and more critical to many industrial control and IoT applications. Having a low resistance value is often important to keep power losses low and excellent temperature stability can be critical, as the resistor self-heating will affect accuracy.

The CSS and CSSH series of AEC-Q200 qualified chip current sense resistors offer tolerances down to ±0.5% with a TCR of ±15, 25, or 50 ppm. They come in values as low as 0.0005 Ω and range up to 0.120 Ω and have package sizes from 0603, rated at 0.33 W, all the way to 4527 rated for 5 W.

Their all metal construction is 100% lead free and has very low inductance – in the range of 0.5 to 5 nH – for excellent high frequency operation. The devices also feature very low thermal EMF (
