The world’s first spatial ruler for your iPhone, capable of measuring distance and length in centimeters, meters, inches, and feet, has been unveiled. Using the iPhone Ruler app, users can save measurements from their smartphones and easily share the information with friends and family, or even re-measure objects using the “Editable” format. This tool makes measuring on the go quick and straightforward.
Equipped with a laser spot, the iPin Spatial Ruler turns your iPhone into a quick measuring tool with no complicated calibration. Users can get the distance or length wherever the laser dot locates in a single shot. The device makes use of a patented “hybrid earphone plug” to keep it inside the phone’s headphone jack without affecting its functions.
Its features include:
- quick, accurate laser measuring using iPhone’s camera
- ability to measure the length of objects and room dimensions
- produces dimension-enhanced photos to share with others
- easy to use and enhance collaboration among other users
- eliminates the need for tape measures and rulers
Additionally, users can shoot first and measure later, meaning they can retrieve the images in the iPin Ruler app, and then get the measurement data back in the office. Users can also measure the length between any two points in a shared photo on their iPhone.
The communication tool enhances people’s spatial recognition and enables instant measurement and a laser-guided photo recording on dimensions of a given space or object. The unique design fits into the headphone jack of the iPhone, allowing users to take, save, and share space dimension pictures with others.
The product integrates portability, energy-saving, and authenticity into a single smart tool. Currently on Indiegogo, with its goal already met, the iPin Spatial Ruler is expected to begin shipping in October 2016.
