Power line chokes enhance PCB stability with a patented design

Würth has unveiled power line chokes that boast a novel plastic casing, separating strip, and grid plate. The WE-TPB HV Series of three-phase chokes are targeted at high-voltage applications such as frequency inverters and high-performance charging stations.

All insulation materials used in these current-compensated chokes are UL94-V0 listed. Furthermore, in order to enhance stability on the PCB, the power line chokes can be fixed in place with a tapping screw.

The new chokes guarantee a rated voltage up to 760 Vac, which Würth says is 70% more than offered by comparable products in the market. Free samples of these power line chokes based on Würth's patented design are available on request.
