Glassdoor recently released their list of “Best Places to Work,” based on anonymously submitted employee reviews. Based on a five-point scale, workplaces are awarded anywhere from a 1.0 (very dissatisfied) to a 5.0 (very satisfied).

In a press release, Glassdoor CEO and co-founder Robert Hohman said, “To help people find companies that stand out from the pack, the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards recognize employers that are truly best places to work because they’re determined by those who really know best — the employees.”

Glassdoor’s full list is available online and allows users to sort by industry, company size, position, etc. Venture Beat reports that Silicon Valley again makes a strong showing on the overall list, with 19 tech companies in the top 50, down from 20 last year and 21 the year before, although Apple is noticeably absent this year (they’re at 84th, down from last year’s 36th).
