Diodes Incorporated introduced the DESD3V3Z1BCSF-7, designed to provide exceptional TVS/ESD protection to the high-speed input/output ports of advanced systems-on-chip (SoCs) featuring differential signal line running at 5 GHz and beyond. Features of the 0.6 x 0.3 x 0.3-mm device include an input channel capacitance of 0.175 pF (typical), low dynamic resistance, low trigger/holding/clamping voltages, and a package with ultra-low capacitance and exceptionally low insertion loss.
The DESD3V3Z1BCSF-7 also offers ESD protection that meets IEC61000-4-2 requirements of up to 8-kV air and contact and a combination of clamping voltage (VCL = 4.5 V typical for IPP = 3 A), breakdown voltage (VBR = 9 V maximum), and reverse standoff voltage (VRWM = 3.3 V maximum), while peak-pulse power dissipation (PPP) is 25 W over the short-circuit waveform of 8/20 µs.
