TRACO Power has released the TPP 450-M series of medical- and industrial-approved 450-W power supplies in a fan-cooled 3.15 × 5.83 × 1.60-inch package. A high efficiency of up to 94%, combined with industrial-grade components, enables –40°C to 80°C operation (full load operation up to 65°C at 230-VAC input/55°C at 115-VAC input for 24-VDC to 48-VDC models).
The TPP 450-M series consist of five single-output models offering 12/15/24/36/48 VOUT with 5 Vsb at 2 A and a smart, variable-speed–controlled 12-V fan to minimize noise. Status and control features include remote sense, power good, and remote on/off. Operating from a universal AC input with active power factor correction, key features include 4,000-VAC I/O isolation with a double-reinforced insulation system, 2,500-VAC output to field ground isolation, and <100-µA leakage current.
Carrying IEC/EN/ES 60601-1 3rd edition approval, EMC compliance to EN 60601-1-2 4th Edition, and EN 55032 Class B conducted emissions, the TPP 450-M series is well-suited for 2 × MOPP and Type BF medical applications. Ruggedized to meet IEC 60068-2-6 (vibration), IEC 60068-2-27 (shock), MIL-STD-810F (thermal shock), and UL 62368-1 approval extends the application base of these power supplies into industrial markets.
