Fairview Microwave Inc. has introduced a new line of seamless and twistable flexible waveguides for applications such as DAS systems, base stations, and antennas and test instrumentation. The waveguides cover 10 frequency bands (from WR-137 to WR-22), operating in the 5.85- to 50-GHz range.
The new line consists of 78 models, split evenly between seamless and twistable types. All operate in the same range of frequencies. All models are offered with UG-style square/round cover and CPR-style flanges and are available in lengths of 6 to 36 inches.
The seamless models consist of a piece of solid brass that is pressed into shape. Key specs include a VSWR as low as 1.07:1, max power as high as 5 kW, and an insertion loss as low as 0.06 dB. They can be used in pressurized applications.
The twistable models are comprised of twist-flex material that is wound, interlocking brass. This allows it to slide on itself, which also provides the ability to twist in different directions. They offer a max power rating of 1.5 kW, insertion loss as low as 0.15 dB, and a VSWR as low as 1.05:1.
The flexible waveguides are currently in stock and ready for shipment. There is no minimum order quantity.
