Dialight launched its IntelliLED connected industrial internet of things (IIoT) platform designed to deliver a rugged wireless control system enabling heavy industrial lighting applications. Leveraging Dialight’s Vigilant family of LED fixtures with the IntelliLED IIoT platform, for example, results in increased plant safety, productivity, energy efficiency, cost advantage, and future readiness in harsh and often extreme environments. The IntelliLED platform seamlessly integrates with existing automation, delivering advanced lighting controls using a familiar interface for easy implementation globally.
Launched on Earth Day, Dialight’s IntelliLED system is a wireless control solution that provides energy efficiency for heavy industrial lighting applications.
Features include a 2.4-GHz wireless mesh operation, a self-healing network, and a heavy-duty industrial gateway controller that accommodates up to 120 fixture and sensor nodes in a ruggedized, IP66/NEMA 4X-rated enclosure. The system is easily scaled to control up to 10,000 nodes in multiple facilities with the IntelliLED Enterprise Server. Fixtures can also be grouped, allowing for rapid, simplified control over specific areas in a facility. The system’s programmable dimming feature adjusts light output from 100% down to 5%, while daylight harvesting and occupancy sensors conserve energy.
The system also features web-based programming compatible with any PC, mobile, or tablet device and real-time monitoring of energy use and fixture status. An RF network analysis tool and selectable RF channels optimize signal strength. The system also provides security protocols to ensure that only credentialed users have access.
Future readiness is ensured by the system’s Open Automated Demand Response (ADR) compliance, enabling companies that are now participating or those that plan to adhere to ADR programs with local utilities to reduce light output during peak demand.
