Artesyn Embedded Technologies is targeting the new four-slot case and hold-up module for its second-generation MicroMP (µMP) series of configurable AC/DC power supplies. The new µMP09 case or enclosure supports a maximum power output of 550 W at 85−180 Vac and 1,100 W at 80−263 Vac.
The µMP09 case measures 256.9 × 88.9 × 40.0 mm and is certified for digitally controlled power modules used in industrial, medical, test and measurement, telecoms, process control, and military and aerospace systems. It is rated for operation at temperatures ranging from −40°C to 70°C, can withstand a shock of more than 50 G, and meets the MIL-STD-810G specification for vibration. The calculated mean time between failures is more than 350,000 hours at full load, said Artesyn.
The hold-up module, designed to maintain operation during extended input bus dropout scenarios, is targeted at high-reliability applications in industrial, military, and aerospace environments. It enables the supply to continue providing power for a certain period if the input power is interrupted. It complies with the SEMI F47 specification for voltage sag immunity. The standard dictates that industrial equipment must tolerate voltage sags or dips on the AC mains supply to specific depths and durations.
Artesyn’s power supplies are fully approved to the third edition of the EN60601-1 and UL ES60601-1 medical safety standards.
