TE Connectivity (TE) has launched its LGA 4189 socket with related hardware products to support Intel’s next-generation central processing units (CPUs) for higher performance and better system scaling. The LGA 4189 sockets are designed for Intel’s next-generation processors, which support PCIe Gen 4, and four or eight multi-processor system architectures.
Specifications include:
- Current rating: 0.5 A
- Insulation resistance: 800 megohms min. @ 500 VDC
- Durability: 30 cycles
- Housing: LCP
- Contact: Copper alloy, 15 µ” or 30 µ” gold plated
- Cap: Thermoplastic
TE also offers tooling that provides a fast turnaround time for prototypes. Hardware includes socket covers, carriers, backplates, and bolster plates. Applications include servers, storage systems, data center equipment, and high-performance computing systems.
