For IoT, broadband, instrumentation, and medical applications, Amphenol RF has added a new BNC bulkhead to AMC micro connector series to its cable assembly offering. The new series of connectors are used with the RG-178 cable, which can be used in more rugged environments, unlike most standard micro cables.
This assembly combines the quick connect/disconnect of the bayonet coupling mechanism with the most commonly used micro RF connector in the industry. The connector series features a straight BNC bulkhead jack on one end, which allows for various mounting options, said Amphenol, which is connected to a right angle AMC plug.
The BNC to AMC fixed length cable assembly is available in standard metric lengths of 50 mm to 300 mm. Custom lengths are available through the company’s RF cable assembly configurator, QuickBuild RF.
