Top five products for the week of Oct. 28

This week’s top five are an eclectic group of products, including Ethernet cables, an all-in-one biosensor, a 5G mobile processor and modem, networking modules, and microcontrollers with Azure RTOS

By Gina Roos, editor-in-chief

These week’s selection is a diverse group of components, ranging from cables to microprocessors. Two common themes among them is speed and easier integration. The TE Connectivity Cat 7 Ethernet cables come out on top by delivering 10 Gbits/s speed in a ruggedized version for military and marine applications. This line offers lots of options and compatibility with other Raychem and TE products.

The all-in-one biosensor module for wearables and mobile devices packs loads of functionality, including heart rate and blood oxygen measurement, together with an ambient light sensor, RGB color sensor, proximity sensor, and pulse oximeter biosensor. The premium mobile processor and ultra-fast modem leverage 7-nm EUV process technology to meet the requirements for video, AI, and 5G applications.

Two top products addressed IoT design. The pre-certified mesh networking modules (Zigbee, Thread and Bluetooth Mesh) from Silicon Labs simplify a developer’s life by enabling them to accelerate time to market by several months, and it comes packed with several security features. Renesas added Azure RTOS, including Azure IoT building blocks, to its broader line of RA and RX microcontrollers, and RZ/A microprocessors, making it easier for engineers to develop IoT endpoint and edge devices for a variety of applications.

Check out the five product stories for the week of Oct. 28 below:
