Keystone Electronics Corp. has launched a new series of SMT printed-circuit-board (PCB) edge connectors that transmit signals or power across PCBs. The low-profile connectors offer a horizontal orientation that make them suitable for parallel board-to-board or board-to-component applications.
These PCB edge connectors are designed for space savings in high-density, high-current PCB packages on power and aluminum backplane applications. All PCB soldering applications, including reflow, may be used.
Manufactured from phosphor bronze with gold plate, the connector family includes a male pin and female socket . The female sockets are equipped with side guides for additional reinforcement to minimize PCB movement when installed. Delivery is from stock via the company’s global distribution network and online.
All tape-and-reel parts are packaged per ANSI/EIA-481 standard for compatibility with most vacuum and mechanical pick-and-place assembly systems.
