Snapdragon 732G mobile SoC improves graphics rendering by 15%

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 732G mobile chipset delivers immersive gaming thanks to faster AI and an upgraded GPU, CPU, and accelerometer.

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has launched the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G Mobile Platform that delivers an immersive gaming experience thanks to faster on-device artificial intelligence (AI) and an upgraded GPU and CPU, compared to the predecessor Snapdragon 730G mobile SoC. An improved Qualcomm Hexagon Tensor accelerometer also enables more responsive in-game interactions with real-time translation.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G mobile platformNew enhancements include the Qualcomm Kryo 470 CPU Prime core clock speed at up to 2.3 GHz compared to 2.2 GHz for the 730G, and the Qualcomm Adreno 618 GPU that offers a 15% improvement in graphics rendering. In addition, the Snapdragon 732G enables select Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming experiences to allow players to experience ultra-realistic gameplay in over a billion shades of color.

The mobile processor also features the 4th generation Qualcomm AI Engine, enabling intuitive interactions and predictive user experiences. This delivers distributed AI twice as powerful as previous generations, Qualcomm said, with up to 3.6 TOPS performance for realistic gameplay and better battery power efficiency.

The Snapdragon 732G also features the Qualcomm Snapdragon X15 LTE modem with download speeds up to 800 Mbits/s, and the Qualcomm FastConnect 6200 subsystem with Wi-Fi 6-ready features. It also supports Bluetooth 5.1 for audio broadcast and ultra-low-power ear buds. Spec comparisons are available for the different Snapdragon mobile platforms.

The upcoming POCO smartphone will be the first powered by the Snapdragon 732G. POCO Global expects the new smartphone will set a new benchmark between price and capabilities in the mid-range category.
