Power relay meets glow-wire test requirements for safe operation

Fujitsu’s 5-A PCB power relay meets the glow-wire test requirements for safe operation of consumer and commercial electrical appliances.

Fujitsu Components America, Inc. has introduced the DPST/DPDT 5-A PCB power relay series that meets glow-wire test requirements of the IEC/EN60335-1 standard for safe operation of consumer and commercial electrical appliances. Typical applications include factory and office automation equipment, power protection equipment, solar panels, and air conditioners.

Fujitsu FTR-F1 PCB power relayThe low-profile FTR-F1-GW relay series is rated from 1.5 V to 110 V. (The series is available in 5-amp (FTR-F1) and 8- amp (FTR-F1R) models.) Designed for safety, it features a reinforced insulation construction, 8 mm (minimum) insulation distance between coil and contact, a surge strength of 10,000 V, and a dielectric strength of 5,000 VAC for extended flammability protection.

The plastic, fully-sealed power relay measures 12.8L × 29W × 16.5H mm and weighs 12.0 g. It is available with either standard (530 mW and 550 mW) or high sensitivity (400 mW) coils. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 75°C. The FTR-F1-GW is UL, CSA, VDE, CQC recognized and RoHS compliant.
