Bourns advances automotive-grade power inductors

Bourns adds three power inductors with a new metal alloy powder core for high-current-density and high-temperature requirements.

Bourns, Inc. has added three new automotive-grade product series to its high-current, shielded power inductor line. The new Model SRP7028AA, SRP7050AA and SRP1038AA series power inductors feature a lower direct current of resistance (DCR), higher Irms  current, and a more robust core compared to previous Bourns designs. The new metal alloy powder core in a shielded construction enables low DC resistance, high heating/saturation current, low buzz noise, excellent temperature stability, and shielded construction for low magnetic field radiation, said the company.

Bourns automotive-grade power inductorsDesigned to meet high-current-density and high-temperature requirements for power management and EMI filtering in DC/DC converters and power supplies in consumer, industrial, and telecom electronics applications, the automotive-grade power inductors also offer higher saturation current rating and an operating temperature range from -55°C to 155°C. The inductors are AEC-Q200 and RoHS compliant and are halogen free. All three models are available now.

Bourns also offers several models of shielded power inductors for consumer electronics applications. These devices are also RoHS compliant and halogen free.
