Tactile switches feature ultra-small size

CUI Device’s IP67-rated TS19 series of tactile switches, measuring 3 × 2 × 0.6 mm, targets consumer electronics and industrial applications.

CUI Devices’ Switches Group has introduced a new series of ultra-compact tactile switches for consumer and industrial applications. Measuring 3  × 2 × 0.6 mm,  the TS19 series offers an IP67 rating for withstanding moisture and environmental contaminants and a lifecycle rating up to 300,000 cycles.

The force needed to activate the switch and the haptic feedback will vary from consumer to industrial products, said CUI Devices. These switches offer operating force ratings up to 240 ± 50 gf and an actuator travel of 0.1 mm.

Typically, tactile switches operate at lower power and current ratings. These switches offer a rated voltage of 12 VDC and current rating of 50 mA. The operating temperature range is -30°C to 85°C.

The TS19 tactile switch models are available in surface-mount packages, gull-wing terminations, and SPST circuit types. Other specs include contact resistance of 100 mΩ and insulation resistance of 100 mΩ at 100 VDC. The withstanding voltage is 250 VAC for 1 minute.

The series also offers reflow solder compatibility. They are RoHS compliant.

Pricing for the TS19 switches start at $0.26 each in quantities of 1,000 through distribution. Please contact the company for OEM pricing. Lead time is from stock to four weeks.
