DC fans and blowers add smaller sizes

CUI Devices has added smaller frame sizes and expanded airflow ratings to its family of DC axial fans and centrifugal blowers.

CUI Devices’ Thermal Management Group has expanded its DC fan and blower product lines with smaller frame sizes and expanded airflow ratings. The DC axial fans now offer frame sizes as small as 20 × 20 × 6 mm, with expanded airflow ratings from 0.33 to 382 CFM. The centrifugal blowers offer smaller frame sizes as small as 35 × 35 × 7 mm with airflow ratings from 0.57 to 44.2 CFM.

These new cooling devices include a range of sleeve-bearing and ball-bearing options as well as the company’s omniCOOL bearing system, which offers enhanced longevity and performance compared to traditional fan designs, according to the company. Applications include IT and telecom, medical devices and industrial.

A standard feature for all models is auto restart protection, including additional options for tachometer signal, rotation detector and PWM control signal. The DC fans and blowers are available with rated voltages of 5, 12, 24 or 48 VDC and multiple speed ratings from 1,500 to 25,000 RPM and static pressure ratings from 0.02 to 3.82 inH2O.

The new DC fan and blower models are available now with prices starting at $4.04 each at 500 pieces through distribution. Lead time is from stock to 12 weeks. Custom solutions also are available for a variety of forced air-cooling applications.
