The Yeti module combines Infineon’s dual-core PSoC 63 Bluetooth Low Energy microcontroller for intelligent control and CoolGaN products for efficiency and reduced electromagnetic interference (EMI) with Spark’s wireless power technology. The production-grade industrial wireless charging module supports all widely used battery types and voltages.

The module delivers up to 500 W of power for efficient and fast charging with efficiency of over 95 percent. The high level of efficiency reduces power losses, facilitates thermal management and improves performance and durability, said Infineon.

Key features include an easy-to-use API for full product or fleet management integration, field-upgradeable software and advanced protection such as FOD, OVP and OCP for safe charging. The products can be hermetically sealed while allowing full-power charging.

In addition, the module offers a misalignment tolerance of over 40 mm in all directions so that reliable charging can be achieved, even with an orientation that is not perfectly accurate, said the company.

The Yeti wireless charging module is designed for easy integration into existing industrial systems, providing fast time-to-market. It is available for customer sampling in the third quarter of 2023.
