AA batteries handle 15-A pulses

The TLM-HE series AA-diameter cylindrical lithium metal oxide batteries feature an open circuit voltage of 4 V, with a discharge capacity of up to 1,100 mAh, which is 40% greater than a TLM-HP cell of equivalent size. The batteries are capable of handling 5-A continuous current and 15-A pulses.

The AA batteries are constructed with a carbon-based anode, multimetal oxide cathode, and an organic electrolyte. Used in commercial and military applications, the batteries are hermetically sealed (glass-to-metal) and can be shipped as nonhazardous goods. They have a –40° to 85°C operating range and can be programmed to alert the user before they are fully discharged. These batteries conform to UN 1642 and IEC 60086 standards for crush, impact, nail penetration, heat, overcharge and short circuit. (Contact company for price — available now.)
