Absolute linear encoders are reliable, safe, fast

Offering high reliability and safety, the LIC 4000 series linear position encoders integrate a multi-substrate scale tape with absolute encoder technology, which provides position immediately at switch-on without the reference runs ordinarily required. The encoder also has a high, 1-nm resolution and a fast, serial EnDat 2.2 interface.

The encoder can measure up to 27 m and is insensitive to contamination. Its dimensions match those of the LIDA 400 incremental linear encoder, making it possible to easily retrofit machine tools by adapting external electronics.
