Offering variable output from 0 to 300 V and 40 to 500 Hz, the 6005 500-VA ac power source has an LCD for simultaneous monitoring of voltage, frequency, current, peak current, power, and power factor. Each parameter can be programmed independently, as can ramping voltage, test time, and high / low limits, and the unit has 50 programmable memories with nine steps per routine.

Enhanced circuitry provides overcurrent, overvoltage, and overtemperature protection. A front-panel rotary knob permits adjustments of voltage and frequency while testing, but a lockout key can disable front-panel operations. An RS-232 serial interface is standard, and GPIB is optional. ($2,595 — available now.).
