The GAW324 and GAW325 vents contain a unique expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) membrane that minimizes loss of sound transmission through audio port coverings while preventing liquids from leaking in through the port. GAW324 vents are hydrophobic to protects against water, while the oleophobic GAW325 vents are able to guard against contamination by liquids such as oils, soaps, and alcohols.
The IP 67-compliant vents also reduce the possibility of condensation buildup inside a unit by letting water vapor escape through the vent’s microporous membrane.
