Designed to simplify the development of high-resolution graphics and touch interface applications, the AF-EV850-TFT reference design provides a single-source solution to customers with combined NEC Electronics America semiconductor and LCD panel product portfolios.
The AF-EV850-TFT board is designed to plug into the AF-EV850 basic board to form a complete evaluation kit for graphics and Ethernet interface applications.
The AF-EV850-TFT board integrates three other NEC components, including a touch-screen thin-film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) panel with quarter video graphics array (QVGA) resolution, a 512 KB high-speed SRAM device and two small-signal dual-MOSFETs that serve as a touch screen interface. In addition, on-board components from market-leading third parties such as EPSON, Standard Microsystems (SMSC), and QiMonda make this board a cost-effective, one-stop solution.
