AFE enables highly accurate measurements

The MCP3901 AFE features dual 16-/24-bit delta-sigma A/D converters with up to 91-dB SINAD, internal PGAs and voltage reference, phase-delay compensation, and a modulator output block. With its high-speed sampling rates up to 64 ksamples/s and SPI interface, the AFE is ideal for a variety of single- and multi-phase metering, industrial, and medical applications.

Also available is the MCP3901 evaluation board (MCP3901EV-MCU16), which enables access to the MCP3901 through various test points, and to a computer through a serial interface. The part is available in a 20-pin SSOP. ($1.42 ea/10,000; MCP3901EV, $80 — available now.)
