The Mercury T2C is said to be the smallest, most affordable hardware-based USB protocol analyzer; it weighs a mere 5.8 oz and is priced from $995. The pocket-sized instrument supports the USB Type-C and Power Delivery 2.0 standards, including capture and decoding of all packets over the new USB Type-C Configuration Channel (CC). The new CC packets include negotiation of USB current capabilities and entrance to / exit from Alternate Modes.
The analyzer employs the easy-to-use CATC Trace display and includes adapters that let users employ the analyzer with other devices and hosts, thus creating an analyzer that is both backward-compatible and future-safe. The analyzer is available in several configurations designed to fit customer’s specific needs.
