Aluminum enclosure has extruded cooling fins

An addition to the 1455 series of extruded aluminum enclosures, the 1455NHD features six integral, heat-dissipating fins in the extrusion profile, to enhance cooling of enclosed electronics that generate high thermal energy. Intended for both pc boards and discrete components and available with a clear or black anodized finish, the 160 x 110 x 60.8-mm enclosure is sized to accept 100 x 160-mm single Eurocards, which mount horizontally into one of seven slots in the body of the enclosure.

Removable flat metal end-panels secure boards in the enclosure; the panels can be machined with openings for indicators, switches, and/or connectors. The two piece body has a removable plate in the base for access to the interior, and both the top and base have large flat areas for component mounting. Six internal and two external extruded T slots run the length of the enclosure. External ones are intended for two removable mounting; the internal ones can be used to mount components by employing fixings that slide in to the slot. Eight assembly screws, either clear or black to match enclosure panels and body, are included.
