America Semiconductor, LLC, a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-industry high-power semiconductors, announced today that it has signed an authorized distribution agreement with Powell Electronics, a worldwide distributor of electronic connectors, switches and related components. Under the new agreement, Powell Electronics will provide global sales, design support and fulfillment services for America Semiconductors' extensive portfolio of high-reliability, high-power standard, fast and super-fast recovery rectifiers, low-power and bridge rectifiers, diacs, IGBT modules, SCRs, Triacs, Shottky and Zener diodes.
America Semiconductor, which sells only through distribution, selected Powell to join their roster of franchised distributors due to their leadership position in supplying high-performance products to such key industries as alternative energy, oil drilling, power grid, welding, HVAC, and transportation. Through their locations in Canada, the Caribbean, Central and South America, China/Asia, Europe and Mexico, Powell provides the expertise, flexibility and resources customers' need to streamline their supply chain and meet on-time delivery requirements. Powell additionally offers a broad range of value-added services, which minimize procurement costs to help OEMs' maintain a competitive advantage.
