Analog switches provide superior performance

Ideal for diagnostic medical ultrasound imaging, nondestructive metal flaw detection, inkjet printer heads and piezoelectric transducer drivers, the 32-channel HV2801 and HV2901 analog switches offer robust latchup protection and quiescent current of less than 10 µA. Both feature 18-Ω on-resistance to minimize return signal attenuation, serial shift registers that reduce I/O connections in space-constrained applications, and up to 200-V operating voltage for deeper-body-tissue-imaging capability.

The ICs may be used with multiple combinations of high-voltage supplies to accommodate different operating modes in diagnostic medical ultrasound imaging, such as +40 V/–160 V, +100 V/–100 V, +160 V/–40 V, (Vpp/Vnn). The HV2901 also features integrated bleed resistors to discharge residual dc voltages and reduce erroneous signals. They are housed in 64-lead QFN packages.
