Anaren AIR module combines with WICED smart modules from Broadcom to provide wireless connectivity for sensors

Sensors Expo 2016 demo uses Anaren’s web-based Atmosphere integrated development environment, cloud-based hosting platform

The Anaren Integrated Radio (AIR) module from Anaren offers wireless connectivity for sensors along with tools that give sensors a new level of accessibility to embedded systems and connectivity.

At Sensors Expo 2016, Anaren and Broadcom IoT (WICED) offered an interactive tour to demonstrate the features of their solution, which combines Anaren’s web-based Atmosphere development environment with Broadcom’s smart modules. Their solution, aimed at designers of Bluetooth, Bluetooth BLE, and Wi-Fi embedded systems, promotes interoperability for Internet of Things implementations.

The demo also featured Anaren’s new Stratosphere cloud-based hosting platform and various product implementation ideas.

Mark Bowyer, director of wireless business development for Anaren, said that attendees were invited “to interact with the full spectrum of our modules, which are in effect enablers of sensor connectivity from embedded systems, through mobile devices, to full cloud access and data manipulation. We want attendees to … imagine the possibilities for using Anaren’s solutions to take their own products from idea to production in the least amount of time possible.”
