ARB housed in C-size VXI module

The Model 1395, a SCPI-compatible, 50-MHz synthesized arbitrary waveform
generator, is housed in a single-width, C-sized VXIbus module. It provides
ten standard functions, as well as user-defined (arbitrary) waveforms. The
ten standard waveforms generated by the 1395 include sine, triangle,
square, positive and negative ramp, positive and negative haversine,
random noise, (sin x)/x, and dc. Users describe arbitrary waveforms using
line segments and points or by downloading binary images. Both continuous
and triggered operations are supported. Among the usable trigger sources
are the eight VXIbus TTLTRG lines, which allows tight coupling with other
VXIbus modules. Via the Local Bus, multiple 1395s in the same chassis can
be phase locked for synchronous multi-channel operation. The unit is the
first to support the SUMBUS portion of the VXIbus specification. The 1395
comes standard with 32 Kbytes of waveform memory, with on-board A24 shared
memory for high-speed data transfer when downloading waveform data.
Arbitrary waveforms can be generated with a vertical resolution of up to
4096 points (12 bits) and a horizontal resolution of from 5 to 32 Kpoints.
An optional upgrade to 128 Kbytes of waveform memory is available. ($4,895
