ARM7-based µCs operate
from –40° to +105°C
The STR730F series 32-bit microcontrollers are optimized for industrial applications and specified over -40° to +105°C. The chips have an ARM7TDMI RISC core, zero-wait-state access to up to 256 Kbytes of flash, a 16-channel DMA, three independent CAN controllers, and a 3-µs 16-channel 10-bit A/D converter.
Also on board are up to 16 PWM outputs capable of supporting multiple three-phase motors, three SPI and two I2 C interfaces, four UARTs, and a real-time clock. The chips come in TQFP144, TQFP100, or BGA144 (10 x 10-mm) packages. Power can be minimized via two embedded voltage regulators and five low-power modes. (TQFP100 64-Kbyte-flash STR736FV0, $4.53 ea/10,000;, TQFP144 256-Kbyte-flash STR730FZ2, $8.99 ea/10,000samples available now.)
