ASIC-based PCI card delivers
business-quality conferencing
The EnVision video-conferencing system is based on a PCI card that uses
a proprietary ASIC to off-load audio and video processing functions from
the host PC's CPU. The board is capable of delivering video at up to 15
frames/s over a standard phone line without additional hardware.
The system includes a microphone, headphones, and software. A camera with
power supply is also available. ($799; with camera, $899–available now.)
