ATCA Ethernet switch blades feature load balancing
Using integrated load balancing, the T-HUB2 and T-HUB4 Ethernet switching blades allows developers to optimize their solution for new 40G applications and address highly variable bandwidth and traffic patterns. The blades enable dynamic real time scheduling for 10G/40G applications for LTE packet gateways, security, cloud appliances, policy access control, IPTV, IMS, and deep packet inspection.
Using the BiNOX network operating system software suite and supporting carrier-grade MPLS and Ethernet switching and routing, the unit also improves hardware utilization, programmable QoS based application performance, and offers full system redundancy (N+1 and N+M). Taking just 250 W maximum, the blade has a 10G/40G fabric interface (40GBaseKR4, 4x10GBaseKX4, 10GBaseKX4) with up to two Quad SFP+ interfaces, each supporting either 40G or 4 x 10G connections, eight SFP+ ports supporting 8 x 10G, and a 1G/10G base interface with 4xSFP+ uplink ports. (T-HUB4, $16,000; T-HUB2, $7,000 ea/sample qty — available now.)
