ATCA processor blade features Core 2 Duo

The ATCA-7301 AdvancedTCA processor blade features the Intel Core 2 Duo CPU running at 2.16 GHz, with up to 16 Gbytes of DDR2 memory, two AMC sites, and 10-Gbit/s Ethernet interfaces. The board is designed for NEBS and ETSI compliance, and targets network deployments, including wireless broadband (3G LTE and WiMAX), IP Multimedia Subsystem, and IPTV.

The card’s two hot-swappable AdvancedMC sites provide the flexibility for additional processing accelerators, mass storage, clocking, security processing, or I/O. Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Wind River Platform for Network Equipment (Linux Edition, PNE-LE) operating systems is standard. ($4,725—general availability 2nd qtr 2008.)
