Targeted at consumer electronics products, the CX20754 codec integrates a power-efficient Stereo Class D amplifier capable of driving up to 2 W per channel to boost audio performance. The codec supports Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP) headset input/output with command-sensing functionality, and digital and analog microphone inputs.
Additional features include a CPU resource-friendly hardware equalizer, a dynamic range control including compressor and limiter, and a micro automatic gain control. It also has a multibit D/A and A/D converter, uses direct current cancellation to eliminate audio “pops” that often occur during power-state transitions, (such as turning a device on or off), and supports differential internal signaling to enhance audio fidelity.
